Boating Week 2000

The new SmartCraft gages were a major focus in Mercury's booth. They had a full size mockup you could sit in and view the gauges. The display was very well done.

The new gauges, which won the BWI Innovation Award in the Electronics Category, allow you to chose from a number of gauges and install them with daisy chain wiring and snap together connections. The gauges are made possible by Mercury's new PCM 555 Electronic Control Module (ECU).

For those cramped on space, they have a system of SC1000 Tachometer and Speedometer gauges that can be used to combine dozens of functions into two easy to read gauges. Mercury also won the prize for the nicest press kit. They provided us with a very nice zippered case containing their information.
